serving individuals within a 50 mile radius
of Belleville, Illinois

Providing social & sporting learning experiences for exceptional children, their parents, & their teachers in the Belleville, Illinois area since 1966. PTOEC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization offering a diverse array of year-round activities for children with mental impairments, their parents & their teachers in Belleville, Illinois & the surrounding area. Our mission is to foster social & emotional development of mentally impaired school-aged children through school & community-based activities & services.

Tootsie Roll Drive

It's time for the Tootsie Roll Drive at the Swansea Schnucks, Saturday, September 18th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. hosted by the Belleville chapter of the Knights of Columbus who always reward our PTOEC with a handsome check. Volunteers are needed at each door, North and South. We are requesting collection times in two hour blocks. Can we count on you this year? PTOEC Athlete of the Month

PTOEC Athlete of the Month Ryan Lee Reinier


Ryan Lee Reinier is 19 years old and is the son of Rodney and Barbara Reinier of O’Fallon, IL. He was born in Kansas City, KS on May 3, 1990. Ryan has lived at Whiteman AFB, MO and O’Fallon, IL. Ryan has one sister, Meggan. Ryan attends O’Fallon Township High School. Ryan is very outgoing and enjoys being around his friends and family. Ryan is also a member of Blessed Savior Lutheran Church. Ryan has been active in PTOEC and Special Olympics for over two years. He loves attending PTOEC Summer Camp and has participated in Special Olympics sports such as: basketball, track and field (running the 200 m, 4x100m relay, and softball throw), volleyball, and bowling. He is also planning on playing on the golf team. He has been fortunate to medal in many of the sports at district and state events. He loves interacting with his teammates and cheering them on. Ryan loves sports and watches ESPN everyday for the updates. The St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Giants are his favorite teams. His hobbies are playing Wii and fishing. Ryan has been an avid fisherman since he was 3. His favorite fishing spot is his Grandma & Grandpa’s farm in Iowa. Ryan loves country music, and his favorite artists are Toby Keith and Taylor Swift. He loves watching UFC and movies.
